What Others Are Saying About Cynthia’s Music Lessons

“Cynthia Robinshaw worked with my chorus students at Pilgrim High School in Warwick Rhode Island for many years. She served as a vocal coach preparing many of my students for All State auditions and auditions for acceptance to music school. She was a motivational and knowledgeable private teacher of voice and piano who was always able to individualize instruction to encourage each student to achieve their personal best. I would not hesitate to recommend Cynthia in any instance where skill, compassion, technique, integrity, and expertise are criteria for the position. Cynthia’s guidance was absolutely paramount in the success of many of my students both throughout high school and beyond. I have always appreciated and respected her work and value her friendship as a colleague…”

JoAnn Phillips, Music Education Faculty-University of Rhode Island, former teacher Pilgrim High School, Warwick, RI
“Cynthia Robinshaw served the Scituate High School and Middle School in RI for the better part of a decade as the students’ private voice teacher/coach. She worked during school hours, after school and/or in her home studio with 6th through 12th grade chorus students who wished to improve their instrument through private study. Students appreciated Cynthia and enjoyed learning from and working with her every week. Ms. Robinshaw was a thorough voice mentor, paying close attention to a variety of details regarding warm-ups, age-appropriate literature and proper maintenance of the singing instrument itself. It was refreshing to find a voice teacher who encouraged students to be wary of their health and proper diet in order to insure the highest standards of singing and performance. The fact that Cynthia holds additional credentials specializing in assisting students with vocal nodules or other physical issues in the larynx made her an even more appealing choice for this position. Her work with the teenage boy’s changing voice is also something that takes time, patience and knowledge – work that always yielded the most positive results with Cynthia’s attention and care. In short, Cynthia knew how to tackle each student’s unique vocal needs…”

Christine Johnston, Choral Director- Scituate Middle and High School, North Scituate, RI
“Cynthia is an amazing voice teacher and human being that has helped me with vocal fatigue/injury, thorough a variety of musical and acting performances and has coached me through my bad vocal habits. She is a powerful force for any anyone/ artist looking to study in person as I did for many years or online like I am doing now. She has been amazing in accommodating my “on the go” lifestyle. Thank you Cynthia for being the awesome, talented and the technique driven teacher that you are. So thankful for your support and guidance…”

Jenna Tremblay, New Bedford, Massachusetts, Director — Drama Barrington Christian Academy and Arts Alive!
“Ms. Robinshaw is an excellent piano teacher with a wonderful personality. My son not only demonstrated significant progress in his ability to play piano but looked forward to his lessons each week…”
